NCD Process
NCD is a way of measuring the health or effectiveness of a church. It is in no way meant to replace prayer and the role of God in the growth process.
By utilizing a carefully prepared questionnaire with 30 members and/or regular-attendees, the survey will measure the health of the church in 8 critical areas (Quality Characteristics).
It will help a church identify areas of strength and weakness so that they can, with the leading of God, develop a plan to help the church be intentional in reaching their world for God.
The 8 Quality Characteristics measured are:
- Empowering Leadership
- Gift-oriented Ministry
- Passionate Spirituality
- Functional Structures
- Inspiring Worship Services
- Holistic Small Groups
- Need-oriented Evangelism
- Loving Relationships
The key to each of these characteristics is the adjective. To what extent is the leadership “empowering”, and the ministry “gift-oriented” etc.
